NLP for teachers
…delivered by teachers – a new NLP Practitioner programme
Over the years we have learnt that NLP skills have a very wide application – in all spheres of life. There is one particular application – education – which we believe is so important that we have developed a new programme, aimed at teachers. Are you interested in any of the following?
• modelling outstanding teachers
• improving delivery skills
• applying a brain friendly lesson structure
• developing NLP coaching to use in schools
• improving parent/ teacher consultations
• recognising when a pupil or parent is about to ‘kick off’ and intervening in time
The new NLP practitioner programme is designed to address these issues and more. It has been put together by a group of teachers who are also Master Practitioners and NLP trainers. This unique programme, which is the intellectual property of JSnlp includes the opportunity for teachers to work to camera and receive structured feedback from peers and trainers alike. For every skill that is taught, there will be plenty of evidence of real life, practical applications- drawn from the experiences of the trainers. Also, with the advice of the trainers, participants will be able to take some of these skills back into their place of work and cascade them to other members of staff and so provide a highly cost effective element to CPD.
Introductory weekends will take place in May, June and July 2011 and the ‘two for the price of one’ offer will enable a participant to bring an interested colleague so that instead of asking ‘What is this NLP stuff all about?’ they can experience it for themselves. With the emphasis upon skills as well as grounding the application of the skills in everyday situations, NLP can make an impact upon education, the life of teachers and the experience.

It would be interesting to have an “Applying NLP in education” weekend for those of us in the field who have already completed the practitioner training.

What a great idea!
I am currently in Y3 of my doctoral research into the use of NLP with teachers, particularly leaders in education. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who has specific examples of how they use NLP in teaching and am currently seeking two more practitioners who would be prepared to be interviewed (by phone if necessary) about their experiences.
Could a group of us offer a presentation at the next NLP conference?
